2026 Mentorship Application
2026 Mentorship Sessions:
Foundations Mentorship: March 9-12, 2026
Colt Starting Mentorship: April 7-10, 2026
Foundations Mentorship: September 14-17, 2026
Colt Starting Mentorship: October 6-9, 2026
Mentorship Program Fees:
Foundations Mentorships: $2,750
Colt Starting Mentorships: $3,250
Program Inclusions:
Four days of training and instruction with Phil Haugen
Daily lunch and refreshments
All tack and training equipment (horses provided for Colt Starting Mentorship)
Stall space for any outside horses (Foundations Mentorship only)
Electrical plug-ins for living quarter trailers
Not Included:
Accommodations (other than electrical hookups)
Breakfast and dinner
Transportation to and from the ranch
Application Requirements: Applicants must complete an online application process, which includes a review of prior horsemanship knowledge, skills, and participation in past Phil Haugen Horsemanship events. Applicants must be in good standing and demonstrate good character, work ethic, and responsibility. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a current driver’s license and health insurance.
Application Process: Upon submission of an online application and application fee, applicants will be contacted within seven (7) days to confirm acceptance into the program. Upon acceptance, participants will receive more detailed information about the Mentorship session(s) they have been accepted into, as well as a link to pay the remainder of their Mentorship Fee.
Application Fee: A $1,500 application fee will be due with your online application. Upon acceptance, this fee will be applied to the total cost of your upcoming Mentorship session. If an applicant is rejected from the program, the $1,500 application fee will be refunded (less processing fees).
Payment Terms & Conditions: Mentorship Fees will be due in full 60 days prior to the start of the Mentorship session you have been accepted into. All Mentorship Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Returning Participants: If you are a returning Mentorship participant and/or working toward Certification, your application will be automatically accepted.
